Jane Ratay RN BScN ETN IIWCC

 Jane Ratay received her basic nursing education at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After immigrating to Canada with her husband in the 1970s, she worked in Critical Care and Endoscopy. In 1997 she became a founding member of the wound clinic at the Misericordia  Hospital in Edmonton, received training in hyperbaric medicine and completed the International Interdisciplinary Wound Care Course from the University of Toronto.

 

 Jane completed her BScN at the University of Alberta in 2003 and the Enterostomal Therapy Nurse Education Program, becoming an ET nurse in 2007. She has been a member of the Regional Wound Care Guidelines Committee since 1998 and is a member of the Canadian Association of Wound Care (CAWC) and the Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapists (CAET).

 

 Currently, Jane develops and instructs wound management courses as part of the Post Diploma Certificate in Wound Management offered by Grant  MacEwan University. She maintains a part time position in WestView Community Care Clinic in Stony Plain.
